Challenge
Aldi sought a sustainable energy solution that would contribute to their environmental goals across multiple store locations.
The challenge was to deploy solar PV systems that could generate substantial energy savings while accommodating Aldi’s operational needs and existing infrastructure.
Additionally, the project had to be scalable and efficient to meet the demands of multiple stores without disrupting daily operations.
Solution
Through the Framework agreement, EvoEnergy was able to roll out a standardised approach, installing 80 kWp solar PV systems across over 10 Aldi stores. Each installation was customised to maximise solar energy generation, considering site-specific factors such as roof space and energy demand.
Our engineering team worked closely with Aldi to ensure that the solar PV systems would seamlessly integrate into each store’s energy infrastructure.
This approach enabled a swift, efficient installation process that minimised any operational interruptions for Aldi.
The solar PV systems installed across the Aldi stores have significantly contributed to their energy efficiency goals.
Results
The systems generate clean, renewable energy, reducing both energy costs and carbon emissions.
This initiative demonstrates Aldi’s dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility, aligning with broader corporate social responsibility objectives.
Through these installations, Aldi has taken a substantial step towards a greener business model, setting an example for sustainability in the retail sector.
