Challenge
The client aims to reduce its carbon footprint and energy expenses, necessitating a carefully tailored solar solution.
Our team was approached directly by GCG Cocoa UK to design, build and install a solar PV system for their new factory.
The first phase of the solution involved the design and installation of a 944kWp solar power system on the factory building, utilizing 2,222 Trina 425Wp panels.
Feasibility studies were conducted to ensure the project’s smooth progression. We worked closely with the client to design and develop stage one of their PV solution.
The PV system installed, in full operation, could potentially generate maximum output of 877,862 kWh and save up to 181,782kg of CO2e annually.
Furthermore, the new factory has a positive impact on the local economy and is supporting the surrounding area offering many employment opportunities.
The benefits of the project extended beyond financial savings to encompass substantial carbon reduction.
This green initiative represented a significant step for GCB Cocoa, as it marked their first manufacturing site in the UK.
The installation was completed on time, and the client was highly satisfied with our design and installation work.
Looking ahead, GCB Cocoa UK is planning to continue growing their plans for a brighter more sustainable future.
