Summary
EvoEnergy has provided long-term Solar PV aftercare and O&M support for Jack Buck Farms across a growing portfolio of agricultural sites in the East Midlands. The portfolio includes seven solar PV systems ranging from 14 kWp to 251 kWp, with services covering scheduled maintenance, real-time monitoring, and reactive support.
The challenge
Jack Buck Farms operates multiple solar PV systems across busy agricultural sites, which makes active day-to-day oversight difficult. Shortly after a new 100 kWp system was installed at the Pack House site, EvoEnergy identified a communications issue through the Juggle monitoring platform.

Although the system continued generating electricity, the fault reduced data visibility and created uncertainty around performance reporting and monitoring accuracy. The issue was traced to a current transformer, CT, metering fault, which required specialist investigation to identify and resolve while keeping the system operating reliably and maintaining client confidence.
Our Solution
EvoEnergy’s monitoring team detected the issue early through continuous remote oversight and informed the client immediately. An engineer attended site and confirmed the problem was linked to CT metering rather than the communications system or inverter.

A replacement CT was ordered and installed, while EvoEnergy continued to monitor the system remotely to check whether the issue had been fully resolved. When the fault persisted, the case was escalated to operations and technical specialists for deeper investigation. Through further diagnostics, engineering intervention, and ongoing monitoring, EvoEnergy identified the root cause and managed the technical coordination on the client’s behalf, while keeping Jack Buck Farms updated throughout.
The Result
Once the CT issue was resolved, accurate monitoring and reporting were restored to the Pack House system. The installation continues to operate effectively as part of the wider Jack Buck Farms portfolio, which remains under EvoEnergy’s long-term aftercare services.

The project also reinforces EvoEnergy’s ability to combine proactive monitoring, responsive engineering support, and clear client communication to maintain system performance across multi-site agricultural portfolios.
