The project was secured through a formal procurement process and involved integrating solar PV across three separate buildings—the Juniors building and two sections of the Clubhouse.

 

Due to the club’s exclusive nature and location, the installation had to align with strict planning permissions, tight timescales, and stringent security protocols.

The client also required a custom interlock system to ensure the solar PV system safely shut down whenever the backup generators were in operation.

This was critical to avoid any potential conflict between generated and backup power sources during outages.

 

Additionally, the system was integrated with the club’s fire alarm system, allowing for immediate shutdown in the event of an emergency.

 

This added layer of protection ensured full compliance with fire safety regulations.

Coordination with the client’s appointed roofer was also essential, as roof insulation upgrades had to coincide with the solar works.

 

We delivered a complete solution that encompassed financial feasibility studies, planning applications, site surveys, technical design, and the grid connection process.

 

Our team engineered a solar PV system totalling 421.33kWp, installing 915 high-efficiency panels across the Juniors building and two sections of the Clubhouse.

 

Each area was designed for maximum onsite consumption and tailored to the structural and energy profile of the buildings.

Roof-mounted Solis SG series solar inverter with connected cabling and two adjacent electrical control boxes, installed on a metal-clad building next to a brick wall.

Despite restricted access and a strict project timeline, our team ensured that every stage was completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

 

The solar PV installation now generates approximately 359.41MWh per year, with high onsite usage rates of up to 95.8%, reducing reliance on grid electricity by an estimated 25%.

 

In the first year alone, this is estimated to save over 54,497kg of CO₂e.
