As of Sunday 1 April, all customers who’ve installed panels before 3 March 2012 will see their feed-in tariff rate rise to 45.4p per kilowatt hour in line with inflation.
The price increase occurs every year and means anyone who was receiving 43.3p per kilowatt hour will now see their payments increase by 4.8%. The export tariff – paid to you for every unit of electricity you sell back to your supplier – also has also increased from 3.1p to 3.2p.
Those who installed after 3 March will now be on the new tariff of 21p, and can expect this to rise in line with inflation next year.
